2025: Discover Bali Indonesia With RAWRA
Roaming Around With Robin & Allison (RAWRA) visited beautiful Bali Indonesia in October 2025. Allison knows Bali like the back of her hand and has visited the Island of the Gods more than 20 times since her first trip in 1988. The focus for 2025 was on wellness. Our travellers enjoyed relaxing treatments, fabulous food and, as always, bespoke experiences they loved. Read on for all the details …
RAWRA 2025 Discover Bali Overview
RAWRA’s 2025 Discover Bali trip was a fabulous success. Bali is a magical island in the Indonesian Archipelago that draws tourists in the millions. 23 travellers made the long journey with us to Bali, Indonesia. For many this was a bucket list trip. The ladies enjoyed amazing accommodation, fabulous feasts, a variety of activities and lots of surprises!

Flights
There are no direct flights from Chicago International Airport (ORD) to Denpasar International Airport (DPS). A number of airlines offer one stop services with a layover in various cities. RAWRA chose Eva Air to transport our travellers to Bali in style via Taipei, Taiwan. Many of our travellers chose to upgrade their standard seat to extra leg room for a small additional cost.

Accommodation
Bali
Travellers on RAWRA’s 2025 Discover Bali trip were treated to 12 nights accommodation at The Layar Designer Villas & Spa in Bali’s popular Seminyak. Every villa featured large private pools, manicured gardens, functional kitchens, spacious dining rooms, comfortable living areas and three king sized bedrooms with open air ensuites. The accommodation was so luxurious many didn’t want to leave.

Taipei
The long flight home to Chicago featured an almost 24 hour layover in Taipei. It was never going to be good enough for RAWRA travellers to cool their heels at the airport so we threw in a bonus night at the Hyatt Regency Taoyuan International Airport. Breaking the journey home allowed our travellers to have a good nights rest and either explore Taipei or relax before boarding the final flight home to Chicago.

Meals
RAWRA’s 2025 Discover Bali trip included most meals. Food was a major focus of our Bali trip and our travellers got to experience some of Bali’s very best restaurants. The following were just some of the places we dined while in Bali …
Shima Teppanyaki
We kicked off Bali 2025 with a bang and our first lunch was at Shima Teppanyaki in Seminyak’s famous ‘Eat Street’. RAWRA’s 25 ladies took up three of the large cooking stations with a prime view of the theatrics. The food was on point, the cocktails were flowing and the show was the cherry on top.

Merah Putih
Merah Putih is one of Bali’s best fine dining restaurants. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Merah Putih feasting on a menu that celebrated Indonesia’s finest cuisine, culture, craftsmanship and people.

Leisure Time
RAWRA’s 2025 Bali itinerary provided three days of leisure. Our travellers were free to pursue their own individual interests or simply relax and revive for the next adventure. On one of those days RAWRA provided each villa with a private driver to make exploring so much easier. Our travellers made great use of their free time by exploring waterfalls, visiting local attractions, shopping up a storm and even visiting nearby Komodo island.
