A signature feature of every Roaming Around With Robin & Allison (RAWRA) trip is the bespoke experiences we offer. We do extensive research on each destination we visit and select the very best vendors for every activity. While every trip is unique, there are some experiences that are just so special we make sure to include them in every RAWRA trip. We know the beauty of travel is recalling the memories for many years to come. While happy snaps taken on your phone will mostly do the trick, nothing can compare to the professional photos taken on RAWRA photo shoots in stunning settings.
RAWRA Photo Shoots
Every trip since RAWRA’s inception has included a professional photo shoot in some of the most beautiful places on the planet. RAWRA’s itineraries are so jammed packed with amazing destinations that it’s often difficult to choose exactly where to hold our professional photos shoots. Being spoiled for choice, means making some tough decisions. To date we have held photo shoots in the Blue Mountains (Sydney 2017), An Bang Beach (Asia 2019), Hoi An Old Town (Asia 2024) and Seminyak (Bali 2025).
Getting great group photos takes a lot of planning and co-ordination. To ensure our photos have that professional flair RAWRA always sets a colour theme to ensure cohesiveness. Every RAWRA photo shoot features both individual and group photos. RAWRA purchases the rights to all photos taken so travellers are free to download as many memories as they choose at no additional cost
Sydney 2017 – Blue Mountains
Sydney is Allison’s home town and was RAWRA’s very first trip in 2017. It’s hard to believe that is been nearly a decade since this crazy adventure began. Our group of eight travellers spent 10 fabulous days exploring stunning Sydney and it’s surrounds. Our professional photographer was Colin Nixon Photography. Colin is Allison’s cousin and he accompanied the group to the beautiful Blue Mountains on Sydney’s outskirts to capture the group on film with the iconic Three Sisters in the background. We hadn’t yet fully embraced colour theming RAWRA photo shoots on our first trip, but we did make sure the ladies modeled their matching This I Do For Me t-shirts!
Asia 2019 – An Bang Beach
On RAWRA’s first trip to Asia in 2019 our nine lucky travellers visited Taipei (Taiwan), Bangkok (Thailand), Hanoi, Halong Bay and Hoi An (all in Vietnam). It was a really tough choice deciding where to hold our photo shoot, but we settled on Hoi An’s fabulous An Bang beach. RAWRA engaged the services of the fabulous Thinh to capture our precious memories and he sure delivered. ‘Basic Black’ was the colour theme for Asia 2019 and our ladies nailed it while looking chic barefoot on the beach.
Asia 2024 – Hoi An Historic Hotel & Old Town
After a long 5 year hiatus due to the Covid pandemic RAWRA was back in the saddle with a new trip to Asia in 2024. Our 17 travellers were thrilled with our itinerary that included Seoul in South Korea, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in Cambodia and Hoi An in Vietnam. Robin & Allison first met Trung from Hoi An Photographer in 2023 when they visited as part research trip and part relaxing getaway. We started with a few photos in the grounds of our fabulous hotel the Hoi An Historic in keeping with our ‘Bright White’ theme before changing in our custom made Ao Dai from Hoi An’s most trusted tailor Bebe. Hoi An’s world famous old town provided the perfect backdrop for Vietnam’s national dress and we think we rocked it!
Bali 2025 – Multiple RAWRA Photo Shoots!
Our latest trip to Bali in 2025 featured our biggest group yet; 23 lucky ladies who were eager to explore another part of our extraordinary planet. Wrangling such a big group for a professional photo was no easy feat but Nabila Baharun Photography captured the essence of our wonderful ladies perfectly. Given the large group, we wanted to limit the waiting around for those not in front of the lens so we conducted our private professional photo shoot over three different locations. We kicked things off with casual individual photos in our luxury villas at The Layar Seminyak before changing into our ‘Naturally Neutral’ outfits in keeping with 2025’s theme. Group photos on Bali’s Petitenget Beach followed and pre-dinner photos in the tranquil gardens at The Long Table capped off the session.
Upcoming RAWRA Photo Shoots
RAWRA’s sold out trips to Europe (2026 – England, France, Germany and Turkey) and South America (2027 – Brazil, Panama and Columbia) both offer endless opportunities for more fabulous RAWRA photo shoots. The lucky travellers who have secured their places will just have to wait to find out exactly what the theme will be and where we will be capturing the next memories.
