Roaming Around With Robin & Allison: Trip Timeline
Roaming Around With Robin & Allison (RAWRA) offer just one curated group trip per year. Because each trip is unique, every trip is two years in the planning. We don’t re-use any of our itineraries and each trip is planned from scratch starting with a blank page. The below RAWRA timeline will give you an insight on what you will need to do and when if you are travelling, or considering traveling, with us. We hope to see you on one of our trips very soon!
Indicative RAWRA Timeline
Most Roaming Around With Robin & Allison trips follow roughly the same timetable. We aim to travel every October and the planning starts in the November two years prior. We connect with our travellers throughout the process at several key milestones, but we are always available to answer any questions. The following timeline is indicative and subject to change.
November Year 0 – Planning
With just one short month until invitations are issued, November is a hectic (but exciting) time. As soon as one trip is completed Robin and Allison immediately start planning the next one. And I mean immediately. Robin and Allison typically take a few extra days together after the previous trip to brainstorm and set the destination in person. Allison will research flights, accommodation and key activities to estimate pricing. Robin and Allison will agree on pricing and the maximum number of participants. This phase is top secret. While we receive many questions from past travellers, we give nothing away!
December Year 0 – Invitations
Marketing material is finalised and Robin issues invitations to the lucky selected few. Places are typically snapped up in a few days, but often in a single day. Robin will respond to inquiries and questions from perspective travellers during this time. A dedicated Facebook page exclusively for the trip is launched. Travellers are asked to agree to a payment plan which commences in February Y1.
March Year 1 – Zoom #1
The first group meeting is held by Zoom. This is a chance to meet your fellow travellers and Robin and Allison will provide high level trip details.
July Year 2 – Zoom #2
Second Zoom meeting is held. Details of flights and accommodation are released and pre-trip essentials are discussed.
September Year 2 – Zoom #3
Third and final Zoom meeting is held to answer any remaining questions before departure.
October Year 2 – Departure
Experience the trip of a lifetime! Return home and wait patiently (or not so patiently!) for January when RAWRA launch the next trip!
